CREED

This film has been directed by Ryan Coogler in 2015.

As part of the Rocky film series, this one shows how combatants work constantly against their own limits in order to achieve an award on their profession.

It is important to mention the fact, the amazed performance nailed by the film starts with Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson Creed, Apollo’s son, and Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

Filming a special scene was done in St. George’s Hall in Liverpool but, others scenes were made in Philadelphia, Rocky’s home, standing on the top of steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art. With a budget of more than $35 million, the box office collected $138.5 million on the premiere night.

The plot reveals, the son of heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, walk away from his job to become a pugilist. Decided to get in touch with his father’s rival, Rocky Balboa in Philadelphia to ask him to start a new project as a trainer.

However, an unexpected disease beats Rocky and the program training turns into unsuccesfull for Creed for a while. Meanwhile, Adonis continues the training as much as he can.

A call from the manager of world light heavyweight champion “Pretty” Ricky Conlan, making a deal for a final challenge in his career. As everyone hopes, he agreed eventually.

On the fight night, Conlan won the combat in a split decision, but Donnie won the respect of Conlan and the crowd.

This film was released last November 25, 2015.
